These terms are an agreement between you and RentHive about using the RentHive apps and website at renthive.com.au. By creating an account you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy.
What RentHive does
RentHive helps landlords in Australia manage their own rental properties, and helps renters and applicants deal with those landlords. RentHive is software. We are not a real estate agent, property manager, lawyer or financial adviser, and we don't act for you.
Your account
- You must be 18 or older and give us accurate details.
- Keep your sign-in methods (email, passkeys, authenticator apps and recovery codes) to yourself. You're responsible for what happens in your account.
- Tell us straight away at hello@renthive.com.au if you think someone else has used your account.
Your responsibilities as a landlord
You remain the landlord. You're responsible for meeting the residential tenancy laws in your state, including notices, bonds, repairs, safety checks and how you choose renters. RentHive gives you tools, reminders and drafts, but you decide what to send and do.
AI features
RentHive uses AI to draft messages, summarise information, read documents and photos, and suggest next steps. How we use AI, and the limits we put on it, are set out in our AI disclosure and Privacy Policy. In particular:
- AI-written messages are always labelled.
- The AI never sends a legal notice or spends your money without your approval.
- AI output can be wrong. Check anything important before you rely on it.
Payments and subscriptions
Subscription prices are shown before you pay. Rent and other payments are processed by our payment partners under their terms. We'll tell you before a price changes.
Acceptable use
Don't use RentHive to break the law, discriminate against people, harass anyone, upload content you don't have the right to share, or interfere with the service.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. Some records must be kept after you leave because the law requires it; our Privacy Policy explains which.
Our liability
Nothing in these terms excludes your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Otherwise, to the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to resupplying the service or refunding what you paid for it in the previous 12 months.
Changes to these terms
When we change these terms we publish a new version with the date it takes effect. You'll be asked to accept it the next time you open the app.
